About Gili Trawangan
Gili T offers a stunning coral reef systems renowned for excellent diving and snorkeling either off the island itself or off one of the surrounding islands.
To help facilitate your diving, ko-ko-mo has easy access to a range of dive shops with professional instructors for both beginners and experienced divers. A multitude of dive sites offer wonderful experiences for all levels of diver.
The island is located on the border of the Indian and Pacific Ocean where the weather is perfect almost 12 months of the year, with a very short rainy period. For those wanting to explore the area a range of day trips to surrounding islands are just a short boat ride away, and offer pristine white sandy beaches and coral reefs comparable to the best in the world.
The mainland directly opposite – Lombok – is a huge island with a population of three million inhabitants and offers a totally different experience to Bali as it combines spectacular scenery with a feeling of a bygone era, given that development is still minimal, meaning many areas remain beautifully unspoiled. Here beach merges into jungle, and locals still look at visitors with wonder and respect.
